  • Angharad Jenkins (Artist / Musician)

Angharad is the alt-pop project of song-writer and fiddle player Angharad Jenkins from Swansea.

Deemed as an artist and songwriter “with fire, passion and unflinching honesty at the core of all her music”, Angharad’s music has been described by Deb Grant, BBC6 Music, as “provocative” and “a confident and positive ‘call to arms’ for women in the music industry” by Cassie Fox of Loud Women.

Her new music explores the female experience, motherhood, and our relationship with time.

Described as a ‘musical chameleon,’ she has long worked at the edges of expectations. She’s enjoyed a 15-year career touring the world with multi award-winning Welsh folk band Calan, but since becoming a mother she has discovered her voice. Literally a singing voice, and also words and stories that needed to be told.

Her debut solo album Motherland was released in March 2024 via Libertino Records.
