  • Moira & Claire (Nova Scotia)

Born on one side of Canada and now living on another, Halifax, Nova Scotia’s Moira & Claire write lighthearted, indie folk-pop songs that appeal to East and West Coasters and everyone in between. The sisters have been singing together for longer than their professional careers, their voices harmonizing in the kind of familial magic that only living together your entire life can attain. Their debut project “I’m not usually this forward but…” was nominated for three 2023 East Coast Music Awards (Group Recording of The Year, Rising Star Recording of The Year, and TD’s Fan’s Choice Video of The Year) as well as two 2023 Music Nova Scotia Awards (New Artist Recording of The Year, Contemporary Roots Recording of The Year). Most recently, their song Delaney’s Dad, an anthem for today’s queer youth, was nominated for Single Of The Year at the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards.
