Since forming in 2014, Nottingham’s ambient-rock trio Eyre Llew have been releasing music and touring 20+ countries around the world, year on year until the pandemic hit in 2020. Having played on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2019 between several tours of Europe and Asia, Eyre Llew are on a course for great things after a string of sell out shows across; UK, Taiwan, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, South Korea, Austria, Japan, and Singapore.
Just before lockdown they were nominated at the Unsigned Music Awards as part of The Great Escape under; Best Live Rock Act, Best Album & Best Video. Their debut album Atelo reached #24 in Drowned in Sounds Top 100 albums of 2017 and was critically acclaimed through Kerrang!, BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Louder Than War, Fred Perry Subculture, Getintothis, Asia365, LeftLion, The 405, Gigwise, The Korean Times and many more!
Having extensively toured the UK, Europe and Asia they have over 300 so-far-independently booked shows and festivals under their belt as a band. After lockdown, Eyre Llew went on to write their second and best album yet before recording more remotely in the isolated Yorkshire Moors and their home studio over 2023. Loaded with new music to debut and road test, they’ll be performing various festivals throughout 2024 with the aim of building a team and finding a label home for their ready to release sophomore album.
With reactions like “Unbelievable. They have just rendered me absolutely breathless. This is a beautiful band…” from Alex Baker, Kerrang! and live reviews like “one of the most innovative, audacious and downright enthralling live bands on the circuit.” from Bristol Street Live. They are continuously championed by press with Gigwise saying they‘re “one of the most exciting bands in the UK right now”.
Eyre Llew are really not one to miss.
